Pat, a fellow ICT-an, yesterday forwarded the email to me with a link for the speed typing test (send to him by one of his students :) I can type 50 words/min - far from the record of 212 words/min.
This reminded me of my 2nd year at The University of Auckland. It was about that time when I got tired of listening to the old war related BS discussed with Balkanize contingent, as well as tired of not knowing how to type. Tanko [wrong spelling :p ], a fellow student, showed me how to load up the Typing Tutor, an application on the machine in the lab.
The night before leaving Melb, I tried to find a crack for a typing software that my sister could use as she wanted to learn how to touch type. I did not find the crack, I found lots and lots of viruses (to this day, they are still there) - why not use free to use typing tutor - why simple..:?
